A care plan keeps your website updated, secure, backed up and online, and gives you one person to contact when something isn’t working.
Most website problems don’t announce themselves. A plugin updates badly and a form stops sending. A certificate expires and the site starts showing a warning. A vulnerability gets patched everywhere except the one site nobody is looking after. None of it is dramatic until someone tries to get in touch with you and can’t.
Updates get tested before they go live rather than applied blind.
Most WordPress problems start with an update. A plugin changes how it handles forms, a theme update conflicts with something installed two years ago, and the site looks fine on the homepage while the contact form has quietly stopped sending. We check after updating rather than assuming, and if something breaks we roll it back the same day.
Your site is backed up every day, stored away from the server, with a restore point going back 30 days.
Backups stored on the same server as the site are not backups. If the server fails or the site is compromised, they go with it. Ours are held separately, which means a site can be put back to how it was yesterday, or three weeks ago, without anyone having to find out whether the host kept a copy.
The site is scanned continuously, and if something does get through, clean-up is included rather than billed.
Small business sites are almost never targeted deliberately. They’re found by automated scanning looking for known vulnerabilities in out-of-date plugins, which is why an unmaintained site tends to be compromised within months rather than years. Monitoring catches it early, when it’s a fix rather than a rebuild.
We’re told within minutes if your site goes offline, so we usually know before you do.

Sites get slower over time. Images get uploaded at full size, plugins accumulate, and a site that launched at 95 on PageSpeed drifts into the 50s without anyone changing anything obvious. We check regularly and fix the causes rather than installing another caching plugin on top.

Most of the sites we look after are built with Elementor, and that’s what we work with most day to day. We also take on other page builders and custom themes. If you’re not sure what yours is built on, send us the URL and we’ll tell you.
We don’t maintain Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or other closed platforms. Those handle their own updates and hosting, so there’s little we could usefully do that the platform isn’t already doing.

We check the build, the plugin stack, the theme, hosting, security and performance, then tell you which plan fits and whether anything needs putting right before we take it on. That’s £75, and it’s credited against your first three months if you go ahead.
Two reasons it works this way. A site in unknown condition can’t be priced honestly at £45, and taking one on without looking would mean either guessing or quietly padding everyone else’s plan to cover it. And if the audit turns up work that needs doing first, you get that quoted separately and you’re free to take the report to someone else. It’s yours either way.
Becoming a website management company for a site someone else built is mostly an exercise in finding out what’s in it. Better to do that before either of us commits.

Core, themes and plugins release security patches constantly, and an unpatched site is found by automated scanning long before it’s found by a person. Most hacked small business sites were not chosen. They were simply the ones left open.

Our care plans start at £45 a month and run to £250 and above for ecommerce or larger sites. Hosting and your domain are included at every tier, which isn’t always the case elsewhere, so it’s worth checking what a quoted figure actually covers before comparing.
WordPress sites do. Core, theme and plugin updates carry security patches, and a site that isn’t updated is found by automated scanning within weeks rather than years.
Static sites built without a content management system need far less. If your site is WordPress, monthly is the sensible minimum.
